i miss you marcus joseph hardy: red pump project

Marcus blessed us with his presence, his infectious laugh and fabulous singing voice for just 22 years. He passed away on December 31, 2009 due to complications from AIDS. He was barely a grown-up before he left this earth. Twenty-two. Life was waiting for him…well, now I will see him on the other side.

I am writing this post in dedication to all the young people out there who can’t admit to those that they love, that you only want to be accepted for loving differently. That you are human. And that you hurt, that you don’t want to hide who you are.

Young people: You are loved. You are cherished. You are beautiful. You are enough just the way you are. Stay strong. It will get better. And life is great for you right now, help someone else who is isn’t doing so great.

To the person who thinks they don’t need to get tested. Get tested. It’s a positive thing to know your status.
